Next fall their roles are going to change. Graduating seniors are going to get jobs or pursue further education.
Friends Bryant Andrews, sports management senior, Grant Taylor, business administration senior, and Lin Roberts, sports management senior, are planning their futures right now.
"After I graduate with my bachelor's I plan on attending Southwestern again in the summer to start on my master's in Leadership," said Andrews.
But it doesn't stop there.
Andrews said, "And after that I plan on trying to find a job in the sports marketing world."
Pursuing a master's after graduation is a common idea.
Roberts said, "Having a master's is going to make me feel more qualified when applying for certain positions."
For one the pursuit of a professional football gig is in clear sight.
Taylor said, "I'm actually going to a combine on May 31 to try to play professionally somewhere."
They feel they have all the tools needed to succeed.
"Being a college grad will help out tremendously because when playing a sport an accident can happen anytime, so my degree may help me land a good job if football doesn't work out," said Taylor.
Andrews said, "SC prepared me for the mental part for a career but not so much for the actuality of a professional career. We learn terms but we don't learn how to use those terms in life-like situations."
The three will take the big walk May They'll be living out dreams.
Taylor said, "I've always wanted to play professional football, now I have the opportunity."They'll be making more money.
Andrews said, "I'm excited about the money. No more living from work study check to work study check."And they're going to be graduates. Roberts said, "I'm going to be alumni."
