The Southwestern College division of performing arts will present the third annual "Night at the Oscars" at 7:30 p.m. April 25 in Richardson Auditorium. The concert will feature the SC Concert Band and a special performance from the 9 Lives Improv Comedy Troupe. "This 'Night at the Oscars' will be a magical, multimedia extravaganza featuring scenes from your favorite films with a live soundtrack, improvised comedy from members of SC's 9 Lives Troupe, guest speakers from among your favorite SC faculty, and lots of popcorn," said Christopher Schmitz, director of bands. "You won't want to miss this." The concert will feature music from "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Star Wars (Revenge of the Sith)," "Chicago," and others. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students with ID. They are available by calling Lou Tharp at (620) 229-6272. Popcorn and other concessions will be available for purchase.
