The men's tennis team was defeated March 27 by John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark. All three doubles matches were swept by JBU by scores of 8-0, 8-4 and 8-4.
Lancelot Williams, business administration senior, and Tristan Walters, biochemistry freshman, were up 5-4 then lost three consecutive games.

The final score was 7-2. The men's season record is 2-4.
John Paulin, head tennis coach, said, "JBU is always a strong team. We slipped by them last year 5-4 for one of our wins against them. Except for Jacob and Jason's matches we were pretty much dominated by JBU's play."
Women's tennis blew away the competition while playing March 25 at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. They won every match that day.
Paulin said, "I did not know how we would match up against OWU. They have the advantage of indoor courts through the winter. Also I wondered how the spring break lay-off would affect us."
All six singles matches were won. Doubles scores were, 8-4, 8-4 and 8-2.
Singles scores were, 6-2 and 6-4 for Lauren Pettey, 7-5 and 6-3 for Madison Lumm, secondary education senior.
Single scores were 7-5 and 1-0 for Mehvash Shahzada, biochemistry junior, 6-0 and 6-3 for Kelsey Reynolds, communication junior.
Single scores were 6-3 and 6-1 for Molly Kearns, elementary education junior, 7-5 and 6-2 for Kourtney McLeland, psychology junior, 6-1 and 6-0 for Lacey Hibbs, elementary education freshman.
Lauren Pettey, business administration senior, said, "Madison Lumm played amazing in her singles. She was down quite a bit in the first set and came back to win. She also came ready to win doubles and all her service games."
Hibbs said, "The weather was perfect in Bartlesville, everyone won their matches so we all did pretty good."
Paulin said, "In both doubles and singles the Lady Builders played with concentration and focus. It was a good win for us."
The women are now 5-3 for the season. The women played Seminole College today. Results were not available at press time.
