A lot of students have spoken out about movie night and a canceled trip to nationals to support the lady basketball team due to not enough students signing up.
Many students think that nationals was the cause of movie night not taking place, and were willing to express their views.
Kenard Calhoun, physical education senior, said, "I'm not happy with the decision. They should at least give us one more movie night this semester."
Some students thought that a trip to nationals was a good plan, but they also felt that there should have been a back up plan just in case the trip did not go through as far as movie night is concerned.
Moses Harper, sports management junior, said, "Good idea, but should have had a back up plan. They should replace the money by bringing back movie night."
Brittanee Berry, nursing freshman said, "I feel they should have made the effort to at least try to make another movie night since that happened."
Movie night budget money was based off the activity fees. It had nothing to do with the trip to nationals. They are two different budgets.
Sheleah Taylor, director of campus life, said, "We just aren't having another movie night."
Taylor said, "March we had elections and Spring Break which gave us no time to have the movie night. April won't be a good month either due to Stau Bau, softball tailgate party, and bingo night."
Movie night money went toward funding these activities.
