The local yellow arches have received a makeover.
Recently, Winfield's only McDonald's made renovations. They spruced up their entire dining area, creating more of a restaurant, instead of fast food feel.
The area boasts new booths, high tables with barstools, and one bar area with partitions. It also has a new neutral color scheme. But while it may look much nicer, some customers do not appreciate some of new features.
Ronnie Martian, local used car salesman, said, "I don't like the partitions. I liked it open where we could see the people in the cars drive by."
Martha Kelley is another regular early morning customer at McDonald's. She said, "I think it's nice. I like that the chairs are easier to move, and the booths are nice as well."
Customer opinions may differ, but Tyson Weathers, store manager, said that it was a project that they put a lot of time and effort into. He hopes that people will enjoy it, and that maybe they will see an increase in customers that frequent the restaurant.
Matt Webb, communication sophomore, said, "The renovations are really nice, it's a little more cramped. But there is an at-home environment and I like that."
The appearance of the McDonald's is not the only thing that has undergone a change. They also plan on revamping the types of coffee that they have to offer.
Weathers said, "Our new coffee bar is coming soon. It's going to be a big thing and we hope to see some new faces as a result of it. It's a really, really great product that we're excited to offer."
The new coffee line will feature specialized coffee, similar to what you can find in Starbucks or other coffee shops.
