Lady Builders lost in first round on NAIA basketball tourney

The Southwestern College women's basketball team was defeated 76-66 by Davenport University in the first round of the NAIA national tournament Tuesday morning.
The game tipped off the tournament with an 8:30 a.m. start.
The women were led in scoring by senior forward Jenna Wilson and freshman forward Tylar Hartfield who scored 17 points each. Hartfield also led the team in rebounds with nine.
For the Davenport Panthers, senior forward Jeanette Woodberry led in scoring with a game high 25 points and was 3-4 from 3-point range.
The Moundbuilders started slow as the hot shooting Panthers stormed out to a 21-4 point lead seven minutes into the game and had to play from behind the rest of the way.
