Temperatures and weather conditions are looking up and it feels as though spring is almost here. And that is definitely good news for the men's and women's golf teams. The nice weather will especially help the men's team as they are currently qualifying for their next tournament, which will take place March 16 and 17 at the Hawks Creek Golf Course in Fort Worth Texas. The five men who will be competing will know by Friday. The results for the women's team from the Lion Classic in Fort Smith, Ark., were posted a week later than the men's scores. Leading the Lady Builders was Blair Koehn, business junior, with 78-84-162. She tied for first place and finished ahead of 41 golfers. Rachael Locke, business senior, finished 11th with 91-91-182. Amy Kellner, business senior, placed 15th with 90-94-184. Kenna Corley, digital arts senior, placed 17th with 87-99-186. Kaydee Johnson, business freshman, finished 26th with 104-96-200. The women finished second out of nine teams. The other eight women's teams to compete included Arkansas Tech, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Des Moines Area Community College, Oklahoma Baptist University, Seminole State Community College, Dodge City Community College, Arkansas Monticello, and Coffeyville Community College.
