Intersanctum cancelled

Issue date: 3/12/08 Section: Campus Life
Intersanctum was scheduled to happen this month but has been canceled.
Campus Life is in the process of trying to reschedule the event for April.
Intersanctum is an off campus gathering of students to fellowship
together through snacks, games and open mic time.
Campus Life sponsors the event. It is organized by Omari Head, alumni and former director
of residence life, and is held at Crossroads Community Church.
Head came up with the concept
of Intersanctum. Last fall semester it happened twice. This semester it has yet to occur.
Some students and staff are a little disappointed. Marilyn Craft, chemistry freshman, said, "Yes, I do care that it's being canceled. I think that it's important
for students to be able to gather some place and fellowship."
Dan Falk, associate dean of students, is also anxious for the event. He said, "I think Omari needs to get his behind up here and do it. It's his creation, his program, and we are supportive of it."
Other students haven't missed it. Some students are not aware of what Intersanctum is. Some students have attended not knowing that it is only fun and games.
