Many students find jobs off campus. However, for those who are unable to get off campus, the college offers work-study and campus employment for students.

There are openings for jobs ranging from working at the circulation desk in the library to tutoring a particular academic subject. The nursing department, admissions, plant operations, and student center are all looking for assistants.

More students are needed for the phone-a-thon to help with fund raising for the college.

Melanie Robins, elementary education junior, is a financial aid peer adviser. She said, "The library is always a good place for work study. There are lots of different hours to work. It is a good opportunity for interaction with others."

Colby Seagraves, physical education junior, works in the mail room. He said, "I like this job. It's easy. We have flexible hours here which I really like since I tend to sleep in sometimes."

Marsha Branch, mail center clerk, supervises mail room work study students. She said "The guys that work here are always enthusiastic and are a great bunch. Being a mother myself, coming to work at the mail room is like a family away from home."

There are steps to take in order to have a job. Work-study is for those who, after receiving financial aid, still need help paying for their school bill. They become eligible through their FAFSA. The government helps the school pay for those who are eligible for work-study.

Campus employment is for those who don't qualify for work-study. They are paid directly by the school.

These tasks can be taken care of in the financial aid and college service offices.
