The Lady Builders soccer team finished their season Oct. 20 against Friends University. The Lady Builders went into two overtimes with the Falcons, but the game still resulted in to a 0-0 tie.
Eva Sanders, junior mid fielder, said, "The game against Friends was a hard fought battle. We played double overtime and the score ended up being 0-0. It was an even match and we played hard. We just couldn't get the ball in the net."
The team finished the season with a record of 6-8-3 overall and 2-4-3 in conference.
The Lady Builders finished eighth in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Now that the season is over the Lady Builders are looking towards next season.
Stacy Harkness, freshman forward, said, "I believe that we have a lot to build on for next season. We are looking to have a lot of new members and a lot of promising talent next season. We are looking forward to receiving some exceptional players that will be able to adjust to our team oriented atmosphere. We expect the new editions to our family to help make us better."
Tina Harkness, senior defender, said, "We didn't have a winning season and we have a young team. Those two factors force us to build character. We learned that despite winning or losing , it's passion that determines the outcome. It's how and why you play the game that determines your success."
