At 7 p.m. Thursday in Mossman 101, Steven J. Keillor will be speaking about "What Does God's Judgment Have to do with History?" for the Smith- Wilson Lecture, an annual event established by Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Wilson.
Keillor has a Ph.D. in American history from the University of Minnesota. He is an adjunct assistant professor of history at Bethel University, St. Paul, Minno. He has written several books, including "This Rebellious House: American History and the Truth of Christianity" and "God's Judgment: Interpreting History and the Christian Faith," which is his most recent book. Keillor finds his inspiration or comfort zone in his log cabin in northern Minnesota where most of his books have been written.
Steve Rankin, professor of religious studies and campus minister, said, "This lecture will both be academic and informative on how religion is a part of culture and life."
Ashlee Alley, director of campus ministries, said, "I think that this lecture will be great to attend."
